My homemade Bowie

I posted this in the leather forum before this part was opened, so I thougth I would double tap it.   
Got an old corn knife from my Mother-in-law's barn.  I patiently shaped and cleaned the blade, added a guard and made the handle from a piece of cherry from a branch that blew down a couple of years ago on the farm.  Now I will start the best part, making a sheath.  Its a beast, the blade is just shy of 12" and the overall is ~16".

I wished this would of been the first time I ever saw one :( :(
We I go off the farm, i didn't care if I ever saw another one! :) :)
