"WOW"!!
Thank's for all your help, there is sure alot of INFO to sift through. Funny thing,I had started a letter to the Res. Dept. in the NY state Military & Vet. Res. Center on Friday. I did find out that Cop. "G" was asigned to a Capt. Anthes. Looking forword to reading all the INFO when I get some time, I've got to get my printer going so I can stast a file... :-\ :) :)

Can't thank you enough for all your help

"Boy"!! I've been getting so much INFO about my old Spencer rifle, it turn's out that it was issued to the New York Vol. Co."G" 18th Cavalry, to a Capt. Jocob W. Anthes of Poughkeepsie NY in 5/10/1865. The people at the NY state Military Museum have been very helpfull, but I'd sure like to know how to find out all the history on my rifle, an was it issued to the company or to a picific soldier?? An if so who ??

Thank's to all you guy's out there, an did you get alook at my rifle???
