Greetings all.

Does anyone know where I can get a replica .44 rimfire cartridge for display with a Henry Rifle?  Or, if necessary a loaded cartridge, or a new made cartridge w/o powder?

Thanks.

Nobody is making 44 rimfire ammo, with or without powder, that I am aware of.

Start frequenting gun shows. I have picked up a number of interesting old cartridges at gunshows, including 44 Henry Rimfire. It's pretty much hit or miss, but it's not unusual to find guys with old cartridges for sale. You can learn a bit of history too, they often know a fair amount aboutt what they are selling.

Also, contact this guy. He makes a business out of selling old cartridges and he may have what you want.

That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

I understand that a Brazilian firm is still producing large caliber Rimfire cases and ammo, (name not known, but try the internet).
I was told this when considering buying a Colt .41RF  Derringer, but did not pursue it when the deal fell through.

Greetings.

I bookmarked old ammo and will check there now'n then.  The Brazilian company is CBC.  They make Magtech ammo.  Will drop 'em an email to check out possibility of the .44 Rimfire, or something close.  Old West Scrounger didn't have 'em.

Thanks,

Shoot this guy a email. bwilder@rockymountnc.com
He's got a booth over here at the Fredericksburg Expo & has quite a few old cartridges including some original Spencer .56-50's, he may just have what you're looking for.

Not sure if it's CBC, but read an article in a gun rag a while back and there's a small outfit, think it's a US outfit, that does special order ammo.  I remember it because they said they did a couple of boxes of 38 colt rimfire for a collector to shoot in an original 51 navy conversion.  That's all I remember about them, if you do a search on the internet you "might" locate them and they could probably hook you up.  I think I remember they said they turned the odd ball stuff out on a lathe for short runs.  If so it should at least look identicle to some of the original Henry rounds, depending on which one you want.
