Just bought me the Lonesome Dove: The Ultimate Collection (10-DVD Set).
It's an exclusive collector's set, Lonesome Dove: The Series and Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years.
Run Time: 1973 minutes, 10 DVDs - 43 episodes
for just $25.
Any comments?

I've heard of the T.V. series but not of the "Outlaw Years."

:D I also have it.  It was a well done series and I really enjoy it.  I also have 8 episodes of Border Town.  Remember that one? It was about a Mountie and a US Marshal where half the town is in Montana and the other half in Alberta.

Sounds like a great collection of dvd's. I have Deadmans Walk, LD - Outlaw Years, Commanche Moon, Lonesome Dove, and Street of Laredo with James Garner, which depicts the final series I think. All great dvd's. Enjoy your collection - greeat price too!

I picked up some TV series multible dvd sets awhile back too, Tall Man, Laredo, and Restless Gun. Pretty good mid '50s shows if you were into cowboys as a kid. Felt funny to view in black and white on a few episodes :)

So, finished my Lonesome Dove: The Ultimate Collection.
Great DVD's.
I favour the Outlaw Years.
But it has an open end, like Deadwood. >:(
Why they cannot finished this series?
It's a shame.

If you liked the movies you need to do yourself a favor and get the books next

Dead Man's Walk
Comanche Moon
Lonesome Dove
Streets of Laredo

Like anything else the books are better than the movies, but not by much (LD could of been a 3 year series if they put everything in)
