The current story is they don't have any and have no plans to make any :-\

Surely one of you pards bought a set along with the drill alignment tool?
I have the drill alignment tool and now need the LONG tap and die set.

So before I start making, silver soldering, grinding, searching, etc. I thought I would ask to:

BEG
BORROW
STEAL
BUY
SMOOGE

Thanks ;D

I don't think you need a die, just a tap.  Try ENCO.  If I can't find what I need at Brownells, I try ENCO.

What size tap is it?  I'll look around and see what I have.

Forgot my Gingko...........

TAP and DRILL

The issue is length (in order to clear the arbor).
I appreciate the heads up and ENCO carries Extension Pulley Nut taps (which are longer) but the combined price of the long tap and Drill plus shipping is really why I posted to see if one of our pards had the set and figured they'd never use it again ;)

I believe they are 6-32. But don't quote me on it (the Gingko thing again).

Thanks

Monsiuer Hoof -
If you cannot locate the appropriate overly long drill and tap, two thoughts come to mind:

2) fabricate your own - we used to do this by silver-soldering drill-rod onto the end of the required drill bit. One uses a piece of angle-iron as a V-groove fixture to support the entire mess and keep it square and aligned. one can further sleeve the assembly with appropriate tubing if desired. If you were to use tubing, epoxy might even suffice for a one-use drill.

1) drive out the pin holding the cylinder arbor, remove the arbor for the needed clearance, and when re-installing the arbor, replace the pin with a screw

I am looking forward to seeing the results of your efforts esp, if you pursue the .41 Colt
