Howdy,
I just finished this new Buscadero rig today.
Found hard, long but not very difficult as I thought to sew the cartridge loops!
Not very perfect work but for CAS shooting it will be fine

Darkness on the leather is because the neatsfoot oil is not yet dry!

Have a good day

That looks great, Curly. Nice work. The light color goes well with the basket weave. Thanks for the picture. Now we need a picture of you on the firing line with it. ;)

Howdy Marshal,
As promised here it is!

picture taken las saturday in the "Crows Canyon Range", Villefranche sur Saone, France.

I was quite surprised by the easyness of this rig, guns easyly drawn and reholstered. Easier than my teditional rig with monney belt and Max loop holsters (home made too)

Fellows on the picture are two fellows French SASS-CAS France members, left Emmett Silver Shadow, right RO1 Jesse Sandwhite.

We have about one training session/match a month in various (but not so numerous) French ranges.

By the way, I'm too a RO1 graduated.

Best regards Pardners

Good Job CurlyRed,

Looks like you guys are having fun.

Keep up the good work.

Hey Curley, great photo! Thanks for sharing it. It's really cool to see people in countries other than the US with an interest in our old west and CAS. I have no idea what the gun laws are like in France, or if you have challenges to shooting this sport. Obviously you've worked out a way to do it, and with your own leather to boot.

The next time I shoot I plan to use my own leather too. God bless you sir, and keep on riding for the Brand, JD

Thanks fellows.
JD, to make it short, in France, for revolvers you have to obtain an official licence, to be renewed any 3 years and limited number of revolvers (8 per hombre). Carbines are to be registered by officials, but no licence needed (any cal.) and for shotguns if two barrelled, no registration, for lever action to be registred and pump action stricly prohibited.... For the revolver handguns licence could be waited for sometimes more than 3 months, 3 months are the usual delay. I'm waiting for my army sport model 1887 since September 2008, and Chiappa doesn't seems to be very fast for importing them in France (only 10 for the whole country are expected in March)

Last Saturday we had great fun together, 3 stages, one 30 shooters posse. Times are a little slow, best one being ca 40 seconds  (mines being circa 60/70 seconds plus penalties). Luckily sun was there. CAS members are approx 110 for the whole country and ca 50 are too SASS members. One TG, john Peacemaker, 3 RO2 and 18 RO1. 10 french shooting clubs have CAS sections.
If you want to have an idea of what we are doing and see some pictures of our recent meetings and training, pleals feel free to have a look to our forum:
