I think someone mentioned at one time that Hap at The Smith Shop had made some.  Give him a call, he always has helpful suggestions or the fix to problems for these style guns.  http://thesmithshop.com/

If you remove the hammer and zip up that notch in the face of it with the mig welder and redress it, you'll have a much more harmonious outcome :D

Little Al    Hap made them up for me,he made up some for me this past June,at that time he made up some extra sets for stock,he dosnt have them listed on his site. My firing pins mushroomed on both ends, but as Hoof Harted said welding up the slot in the hammer cant help but make for a more harmonius outcome. The ones he did for me were for the back plate cylinders,Im not sure if the gated conversions use the same F.P. or not. What I do know is Hap will know,if they are not the same I do know he can make them up for you, give Hap a call.   Haps the Man     Adios  Sgt.Jake

Sent the guns off to Happy Trails at the Smith shop and he:

- Replaced the firing pins with hardened ones (and sent me a spare for each)
- Welded and dressed the hammer face (sweet job too!)
- Milled the loading lever retainer flush with the barrel

All for $105...highly recommend his work!!!

He has also reworked into a fine peice an old 16 GA Hammer Double I picked up....

Hello!
Does the Smith Shop carry the hardened pins for the 1860 cylinders as a stock item?  I didn't see them on their web site.  How much are they?  Thanks!
