Can someone give me the case dimensions (especially the  dia. at the mouth and OAL) for the Starline 56-50 brass?  I need to find out how well it will fit in my original gun.  Also, are there two Starline 56-50 cases?  I see reference to 56-50 "Taylors" which has a smaller rim, is there as standard size case available?  Thanks.

rim diameter.6329 inch, outside mouth di .54475 inch,OAL lenth of cassi.1.151 inch,i use starline brass in my 1865 bernside carbine with good resultseven though starline wans it may no work,i think if your extractor is in good conditionyou will have no problems, get a couple of loaded casses and fire them ,mack sure they have been aneled as this helpes extraction

Thanks, thats what I needed.  Before 56-50 was available on the market I had a bunch of 50-70 brass cut to length but an old partner stole it so I need some new brass.  The chamber on my gun is app. 1.1 inches so the Starline stuff will be long enough.   I am working on an improved, drop in solution to the gun's perpetual extractor problems, which I will write up when and if I get it working.  Now it looks like I need to get some dies and bullets.
