Hoof Hearted

Here's an interesting gunsmith? conversion. Quite a bit of work went into this and I've not seen it cronicled in any of the Conversion or the Remington books!

The Experimental Springfield Armory conversion looks like that cept for the loading gate thingy! Its also 6 shots.

Oh I didn't notice the ejector rod...duh, that explains the loading gate!

Very cool.  Now to get R&D to add the modification.

That is super clever.  I really like the way they used a backing plate with six firing pins (which rotates) but got it to work with a loading gate.  That little engagement stud on the cylinder is a work of genius.

Yes :D
When closed it engages in a notch much like a "safety notch" and when open the cylinder would spin free for ejection purposes!
I want it ;D

Looks like the ejector rod & its housing are missing,...but you could fix that HH  ;)

Is there any way R&D could convert existing plates and cylinders to do this? Anyone fowward these pics to him?
