What would be the correct footwear for the Sp Am War period military?   I have seen alot of pictures, but I cant tell exactly what they are wearing because of the leggings blocking the view.  Were they shoes or boots.  Is there any company that makes them now?  Thanks.  Deadeye.

Depending upon what was in stock - they would've worn the Model 1893 'Campaign Shoe'.

However - the Volunteer units may've been wearing any of the Models 1885, 1889, 1892 or 1893's.

Start here, Don, especially their 1892 shoe. Others may work well also.

St. George,  Thank you for your usual expert input.

RCJ,   That is a website I did not know about.  Thank you.
