I've been trying to use about a dime sized flower stamp.  But even with the leather well soaked, and a heavy hammer, I can't get a deep enough impression.  I'd appreciate any tips on using larger diameter stamps like this.

 charliek ,
I am just a rookie, but I think you leather is to wet, it needs to be properly cased, let it start turn back to it orginal color! The only other thing i can think is, you are not using veg tanned leather?

I've had that problem with some of the large Craftool flowers. Personally, I think it's the (non) quality of the tool, not cut deep enough to stamp well. I notice a big difference between Craftool and Barry King flowers. I just wish I had more money to spend on those quality tools.
