I need one like this:
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=165999

Of course they are special order from Midway.
Anyone have a takeoff (without the buggered screw Midway is trying to pawn off as new) ;D?

Thanks

I have one I took off some years ago from my early Uberti carbine.  The screw is not as buggered as the one in the Midway picture, and goes in the opposite side, or the blade is in backwards (?).  The one in the Midway picture seems to have a sight notch on the very top of the ladder sight, mine does not, my ladder sight top is rounded, just has the sight notch in the ladder, and of course, in the short range leg.

I can send you a photo if you desire, I figure it's worth $10.....

That's almost funny.  Midway is great, but you would think they would post a photo of an unbuggered sight.  ::)

Hmm...I'm wondering IF you want that sight for "authenticity's sake"?

(I wudda said, "WHY would you want one of those worthless clunkers on your Carbine?", but I won't ;D)

Not only did mine NOT shoot with anywhere near the proper elevation as delivered, the sight picture was slow and difficult to acquire.

Somewhere around here I have one also, almost brand new (it was only on there for a few days before it came off), but of course I don't know where to lay my hands on it. ::)

Mine ended up getting a spring-loaded, flip up, Marbles Rear Sight (pretty much identical to what you find on a Ruger 10/22) that I could widen the adjustable sight blade until if was just right for finding the front blade in a hurry.

But then, it probably IS for authenticity's sake, huh! ;)

You hit the nail on the head ;)
I intend to make the old gal a bit more authentic.
I was under the impression that I could file the front sight down and widen the rear notch as necessary to get the bullet to go where the carbine was pointed...........wish me luck ::)
If you locate yours, a spare would probably not hurt me one bit!
