Has anyone had any experience with the Lee bullet sizing-lubing kit? Real practical experience, not hearsay. Also, anyone using the 457-300-F Lee bullet mold? And if so, how accurate are the bullets? Any responses would be appreciated.

I bought a lee .510 lube and size kit for my .50-95 bullets. I chucked it in the lathe and honed it out to .513 to get properly sized bullets for my Chaparral 76.
I pan lube the Lyman bullets with SPG and size them in the Lee die.
Those bullets are very nice and shoot quite well.
I have10 or 12 Lee size and lube kits for various calibers and recomend them highly. Chuck

Im getting .515 out of my Lyman mould, and am using the Liquid Alox lube- seems to work fine for me. Im shooting a Chappie as well, but found that the .515's chamber and shoot just fine, so I followed Lee's recommendation and am not sizing them. They claim if they seat and chamber smooth, no need to size.

I've cast a couple hundred 340 gr (a bit less with my alloy) and loaded them in my 45-70 gov't.  At 50 - 100 yds using Trailboss they keep a tight group ~1.5 " plus easssy shootin on my shoulder.  I worked these loads up for my Sharps.  I'm in the process of doing the same (working up a load) -- my 1876 Chappy-(45-60)-right now I'm changing sights as the stock blade was bent and the rear doesn't stay at an appointed distance.

I've used the Lee BULLET sizing dies for 30 cal-they work; seat gas checks but I don't care for the liquid Alox so I've picked up 2 Lyman lube sizers--one for my hardcast-hard lube and one for my BP loads.

BTW the dia out of the mold is .458--I only run them thru the sizer to put on the lube.

All the best

Hilo, wondering why you didnt like the Alox- too messy, or did you notice less leading with the Lyman setup? Being new to casting, Alox is all Ive used so far, seems to keep fouling almost non-existent in my barrels, at velocities up to 1800 with boolits testing 19-20 bph. ::)

I worked at a bullet casting business a few (quite) years back and became used to the lube sizer--the liquid Alox did give me some leading but I guess I was too resistant to change.  I really like Lee dies and moulds--many are over 25 years and haven't let me down.
