Ten Wolves Fiveshooter

Howdy Santee

Your NMRV, came with a 17#, hammer spring, I use 16# Wolff hammer springs, which is just a scooch lighter , but your gun should be just fine the way it is, the OMRV CAME WITH 23# hammer springs, when they designed the new model Vaquero they made everything right , and a lot closer to the Colt SAA,  so all you really need to do when you get a new Vaquero, is clean and reoil,=shoot, they are rugged reliable six shooters... :D ::)

Yer right about that 23 spring Ten.
I'm in fair shape and have actually gotten sore thumbs after a long day at the range.  I'll try the 16's as soon as I get a chance.

;) :D ;D Yea , give it a try Leo, I think you'll like it, as long as it will pop primer's your OK,   a lot of pards with the OMRV's have dropped their H springs down to 19# I think 17# would work.

Here's my blackhawks in .357.  I made the grips out of Hedge (aka Osage Orange).  I felt the stock grips were too small for my liking so I lengthened each set by 3/8" as well as increased the thickness some.  Then I added some lead snakes.

Cool! Did you make the snakes yourself?

No.  Ebay from someone in Co. Springs.  I think attempting to make them would have exceeded my abilities and patience.
