I e-mailed the seller about this and he believes it came this way from the factory with the extra dovetail on the receiver & the early style buttstock. I say no. I also told him it will probably never sell IMO at his price. He keeps relisting w/o any bids. Oh Well.  ::)  Anyone ever seen a factory Uberti Henry like this?

Nope.  That butt plate looks odd.

Actually a fair job of emulating an early Henry (except for the lever latch and tab).

FCK,

Nope.  I've seen and worked on a lot of Henry rifles.  None had the receiver dovetailed for the rear sight, and none had a brass butt plate that resembled the Iron Frame butt plate.  I can't say for positive Uberti never made one that way, just have never seen it.
It is not an "early" build Henry, as it has CCH on the hammer and finger lever.  That places the manufacture in the last 10 - 15 years.  The early built guns had plain blue hammers and levers.
Nice looking gun, however one of the side plates appears to be a bit buggered in the dovetail mortice but that wouldn't be a deal breaker at a bit lower price.

My old 'Hege-Lincoln' has it dovetailed for the rear sight.

and here is the receiver after the silver-plating and hand-engraving.

I've owned two Uberti Henry rifles with the buttstocks & buttplates modified to the 1st style (pre-crescent). One even had the receiver dovetail and I can assure you that unless you have the visual acuity of a peregrine falcon they are a waste.  ::) I got rid of one with the rear dovetail sight and have the other still. The early style buttplate shoulders quicker and better IMO. I will never sell it. I have it in storage or else I'd post photos. The man who did it tastefully put brass tacks in a design on one side of the stock and also he hammered in several small brass nails on both sides of the wrist which give excellent hand purchase. 19th century Velcro.  ;D ;)

Branding Iron Bill

I modified the buttplates on my Henreys because I liked the 'look'.  All I used was a file and some emery cloth.  The brass is soft and easy to work.
