Thanks for the link.

Very impressive color guard.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears the following are in the first shot (from left to right):

Cowtown Scout
Dusty Tagalon
Lt Col Scratch (National Colors)
??? (GAF Colors)
Mescalero
Sweetwater Jack
Joseph Selby (CSA)

I'm not sure who is carrying the GAF Colors, but assume it's one of these two gentlemen.
Lt Gatewood
Marshall Ransom Payne

GAF, Commanding

River City John

And that must be the debut of Dusty's Invalid Corps uniform.

If you advance forward in the collection of images there are quite a few candids of GAFfer's.

Dusty Tagalon

Yes it is Lt Gatewood with the GAF colors.

RCJ, no it is not the debut of my "Veteran Guard" uniform. I was wearing it as a member of the 37th Iowa volunteer infantry.
It did give me 2nd in the military uniform category.

Lt Col Scratch was to my right outside of the picture.  He and Joseph Selby were the outside guard and preceeded the main guard.  The main guard trailed them to the front.  They remained in place while we wheeled in the center.  They trailed us on the way out and you only see Lt Col Scratch in the last photo as we are exiting the room.  I am sure the SASS photos will show the entire contingent.  As Dusty Tagalon states that is Lt Gatewood with the GAF colors, so that means its Marshal Ransom Payne with the National Colors.

Forgot that original name for the Corps was unpopular and changed to the Veteran Reserve Corps.
Mea culpa. ;)

MUD MARINE

SORRY -I am a tad computer challenged.

I foolishly sent ly uniforms to the Riviera rather than carrying them with me and on my plane. They were lost and remain lost.

The poor mope wearing the white shirt in the background of photograph Number 2 is Mud Marine on "LIBERTY!

:-(

Everone with whom I visited at the ball expressed their admiration for the way the Colour Guard preformed. IMHO, it is pretty obvious that serving as colour guards for SASS AND NCOWS events our best single way to publicize GAF.
:-)

Joseph Shelby

Sorry, but Joseph Shelby is dressed in 1872 Field blouse (Yankee Blue) and carrying the National Colors. I know, because that's me. ;D

Ok then that means that Marshal Ransom Payne is the Confederate Officer on the outside.  Thanks for correcting us Joseph Shelby.   :)
