I was checking out a discussion some months back about period goods for this hobby and Civil War reenacting. I see some of you were debating prices and quality of sutler goods on ebay and other places. I am Uncle Sam of Uncle Sams Sutlery on ebay and on several websites. There was some discussion on boots and other items. The discussion was about our goods, Fall Creek Sutler and Butternut & Bluecoats sutlery.and the prices vs quality. Let me educate you about the difference in the products. You may not beleive it but the goods are all imports from the UK no matter what you may be told and the real shocker we all three buy from the same supplier! The difference in the products are ... none just the price! The reason my prices are lower than Fall Creek is that he has a physical store and travels from event to event so his expenses are much higher. We are an online, catalog only supplier. We have a normal delivery time of 3 to 6 weeks so we discount the price drastically and pass the savings on to you. I am an eleven year veteran of Civil War Reenacting, I am a brigade commander of 900 men in a major umbrella group in the Eastern Theater of reenacting and was really tired of our men paying such high prices from the existing sutlers and decided to find some sources and the rest is history. We as reenactors have been paying highly inflated prices for years simply because that is what the seller of these goods have gotten away with so I decied to take a reasonable profit and give the reenactors prices they deserve.
