Major 2

 :) :) :)

A while back I picked up Uberti Cimarron 51 R&M from my pard Triggersmith in a trade...
that in itself is note worthy, because RL (Triggersmith) is a great guy.
The gun was as NIB...but with one small issue. A minor, but barely noticeable drag on one chamber (the same chamber in fact)

I decided to send it to LONGHUNTER (for those of you who are  :-\  undecided DON'T BE)
Jim Finch (and I think his brother) are fantastic...

Not only reasonable, but fast turnaround...and the action is exquisite
Light, crisp and slick as hot butter on clean glass.
Add to that, the beautiful jeweled hammer that they did gratis (after they relieved the hammer as part of the actionwork)
new Lee springs, and a complete tune.

The gun returned a day early and packed just a carefull as I sent it .... It is also noteworthy to state they are all about answering emails quickly.

Was it a burr on the ratchet at that point or an uneven spot at the front of the cylinder?

Howdy,
I just picked a new Uberti 51 R&M myself and I'm having the same problem. The cylinder locks up solid. I started removing parts one by one until only the hammer and the ratchet hand were left. The hand has huge burrs on it and was a bit rough pulling out of the frame. Looks like it was built on a Friday!
I'll clean it up and get back...
In a previous post, someone mentioned different springs. My trigger and hammer springs are made for a gorilla. What and where do I get replacements?

Thanks a bunch,

Paul

You can get them from Brownells

Part# 394-630-000
Part# 969-322-800

Dropped into my 51 RM conversion. Makes a huge difference & well worth it.
