I remember back when they had the Cuban Missle crisis,  back then they were tellin us to duck and cover.  like that would'a done much good.  them Russian ships were comin a little too close for comfort.

time changes a lot of things.

It wouldn't. They had ta be doin' sumthin'.

Kin remember elementary school. The loudspeaker would go off in the fire drill tone 'n they'd march us out without jackets. The school was brick, concrete 'n cinder block with a stamped steel roof. The only thing in there that would burn was the jackets we weren't given time ta take before we walked outside.

It was perty tense in the early 80's too.  Things got hot with Andropov an we were crawlin under desks on a regular basis.  Everyone was skeered ta some degree er another fer the most part.  That's when the TV movie "The Day After" came out.  It was a big deal.  Folks on the news warned not ta watch it alone an blah blah blah.

Leo. I remember then, Mullets, shiny suits, and Miami Vice.

Yeah, it was kinda a wasted chunk a time.  Video games were just startin ta replace pinball machines an me an my buddies were perty bent outta shape about it.  The music sucked perty bad an most movies too.  On top a all that us kids had a constant reminder that we could be nuked at any moment.  Fun era, just peachy.

Let me think the 80's  most reloadin and shooting I'd ever done,  in the early 80's shootin metalic silhouette's 2 or 3 times a month, go cart racin with my son the other weekends,   divorced middle of the 80's, fun time, started in Bail Bonds middle part of the 80's, married again.  overall wasn't too bad.

I'll give it a 7.5

Alot of the grands around here are about the right age fer doin reindeer food.  Just shake up dry oatmeal an glitter in a bag an let em sprinkle it on the porch an drive way.  Get yer a$$ outta bet when they go ta sleep an sweep it away.  Sound silly but it makes em really light up in the mornin seein that food gone.
