Hoof Hearted

I have been collecting these for quite some time and the moderators have asked me to post this here for all to see. Over the last couple of years I have shared these with many of our members. Some of these labels are cropped and cleaned up already, most are not. I use New Print Shop to do this work but if a certain label interests you and you do not have the resources feel free to contact me and I'll help!

Many of these cartridge box labels apply to Rifles and Revolvers of the past (and there are "combustible" box labels here too) and some of them are more "current".

I will add content about box construction, label material and so on as time goes by.

Here is the link:

Most of them are in order of cartridge size (by number). Go to the bottom and click VIEW ALL to see them in their entirety.

Click and enjoy!

Thanks fer postin' these, folks.  It gave me the inspiration to fool around and create my own labels fer my display boxes. Not sure if it belongs here--it ain't really 100% authentic fer NCOWS purposes, but it does have several elements taken from the real thing.  I couldn't find another place to post it, so I'll inflict it upon you:

PS: I'll post a picture of the real thing on a box when I get my damned, fancy photo printer workin' agin.

Sure, Savvy Jack! Honored to have ya use it!

The one I posted is reduced size. I just uploaded a full size copy at this link, which you can right-click and save:
http://www.dorseyfoto.com/73/winmaster2print.jpg

It'll look big on your screen because it's high resolution (over 300ppi).  But it prints at the size of the boxes I use. By the way, the boxes are the plain ones sold by Dixie Gun Works. They're kinda small, so the cartridge label is small.  I'm gonna work one up with a few changes for the bigger boxes that have dividers or case holders.

Anyway, hope you can use the label.

FWIW, I recently posted up a couple of labels which are facsimiles of 19th Century originals, which I thought might be of interest to my fellow Canucks .... put them in the "Chinook Country" forum, but of course anyone who is so inclined is free to use them -
