A thread to abuse Leo for not knowin' who Hoppy is (+ now for other mistakes)

I spent some time at the Corral, some at Shakey's drink free beer an' then at Millie's watchin' gals playin' pool an' go-go dancin'...

Had ah good friend named Ray Mater went to OSU for a while.

Most folks called him "Wyoming." He an' his dad had ah big auction bizness in WY, MT an' CO.
He was 'bout 18 when I met him an' he could call bids like ah whirlwind.

I haven't thought about go go dancers in a long time either,  the first year I was there, was the first year they had a topless bar in town,  course we had to go down there, it was kinda of a big deal back then.

Ma first strip club was in San Francisco an I was under age acourse.  It was before they changed the laws bout what a gal could show in the presence of alcohol.  Didn't get much of a charge out of it, it was more like a freak show.  Big fat chick on stage really givin it her all an kep lookin down at me an my buddy askin, "why aint you boys smilin?"  Didn't have the heart ta tell her I was doin ma best just ta hold down dinner.  Meanwhile, the girls who weren't dancin at the moment would set down by us an hustle drinks an ciggarettes off us.  We were bout 17 then, burnt through our entire paychecks an left the place not even sure if we had any fun.
     Ahh, the sweet bird of youth shot down in one night.

It's always the thought that gets ya when yer young,  you just gotta go, get in there and see fer yerself,   ya just gotta know.

Oh yeah.
     It was a right of passage.  Can't say that was the last time I went ta one of them places.  I was just a little more careful with ma cash after that first time.  Friends birthdays, batchelor parties an all that.
     One time I was workin outta town with a pal a mine who was married.  On our trip home he stopped at a club he thought would help our young apprentice get his mind off his ex.  We go inside an the young guy with us couldn't care less 'bout the wimmins, he was still depressed about losing his girfriend.  Meanwhile Chris, the married one, really starts havin a good time.  Gal comes up ta him an asks if'n he wants a private lap dance.  He asks if she's wearin perfume an she says no so he thought he could get away with it.  He leaves with her an comes back a bit later lookin like the cat that just ate the canary. 
     Me an Johnathan look at him and just start laughin.  Chris starts askin "what? what?".  I told him ta go ta the john an look in the mirror.  He may not have smelled like perfume but his head an face was covered in glitter.  He tried ta wash it off in the can ta no avail.  He was panic stricken the rest of the ride home, his wife was mean as hell an sharp as a tack.  He didn't take no more of them off the trail forays after that.

     Prolly had ta be there, but believe me, it was funny.

OT, When you were at Fort Sill, did you ever go over to Wichita Falls, Texas?  They had a club in WF named "The Dog House".  They had a 300 lb go go girl dancin' in a cage above the dance floor.  She had one of those fringe costumes like Candy Johnson wore in the beach party movies.  I used have have a polaroid picture of her dancin' in the cage.  I wish I could find that thing.

Have been watchin a boat load of the older westerns latley though.  Edjamacation is comin along.  About the time I made the Hoppy screwup I couldn't a tolt ya who Judge Roy Bean was either, an now it's a favorite.
