Hi Y'all,

I remember being told once that the Rodeo is excluded from certain CAS categories, but don't remember which ones or why.  Can someone help out the CRS afflicted?  Thinking about expanding into .45 along with .38.

Thanks,

It's not the Rodeo ... but its finish ...The matte finish is not recognized by NCOWS
same goes for Uberti's Millennium finish.... these can be stripped or refinished and your good to go
when planets align...do the deal !

This is one of those NCOWS rules that just doesn't make any scence IMHO.

I just wonder how Shiny those guns in the OLD west were.  Who are we trying to fool anyway.

The rodeo will work for NCOWS all you have to do is buff the dull finish and it will buff up . Do not strip it unless you want to .
The rodeo is a great product that comes from a great company . USFA make the greatest SAA your money can buy . I have used
them for several years in Competion and have nothing but Praise for there revolvers .

Rowdy  you are right. I used a pair that J.D. and I had buffed at the National Shoot this past year for the 45 colt championship.  I laid them  on the loading  table before I shot and asked Trap(the judge) if they were ok.  He said they were. Ima Sureshot

The USFA rodeo is an Excellent revolver for the money . They are shooters and dependable which is very important .
I carry one when out  hunting and have taken a few ground hogs with it . I also carry it while Deer Hunting but haven't taken a Deer with it , maybe next year .
