The new DD Tower of Power cylinder loading stand has been tested and proven in it's third edition.  Now, it is in production.  The new design eliminates main stand bolt, horizontal block lock bolt and other problems in former cylinder loading stands.

Deliveries will begin in November.  If you have a cylinder loading stand on back order, this is the one you will receive.  It's stronger, smoother and much better engineered.  There's a photo attached below.

The prototype in the photo has no label.  The quandary I'm in right now is, should I have it laser engraved or use a printed label.  I've used it on cylinders as small as the little spur trigger Remington all the way up to the big Walker Colt.  No worries.  Just in time for the holidays my niece discovered that it makes a great nut cracker also. . .  :)

I'll assume that the cylinder stand is adjustable for all types of cylinders like the old kind I got from you. It looks good pard.

Thanks Howdy,

Lateral adjustment is via the movable cylinder mount plate.  Vertical adjustment is via the vertical rod and seating jag.  For most cylinders there is no need to adjust vertical travel because it is more generous than the other loaders.

I like the fact that it is all welded and stays in permanent alignment.

DD,
It looks like all of the people who have been lamenting the lack of availabiliity of the old loader that Powder Inc. and others sold should be very happy.  It looks like you have addressed all of the problems the old design had and have incorporated several improvements.  Looks good, I can't wait to see your first production model.  You should be proud.

Yup DD that new loader is catching my eye. I was gonna do a number on my old one this winter, but maybe a new one is in order. The only trouble I have ever had, and it is cosmetic at that, with the old loader is rust. I head off to multi day shoots and leave my cart out at night. Dew forms on the raw metal and then it rusts. I was going to clean it up and paint it, but what would really be good is powder coat. That new one would happen to have a coating on the metal would it? You know Christmas is right around the corner and Heidi Doody is starting to ask what I want for Christmas.  ;D

Howdy Howdy,

Thanks for asking.  The stands and bases are being electro plated now.  The rods are high chrome drill steel.  We thought about rust.  They are sure real pretty, and ought to stay that way.  We tried powder coating and plating both.  Plating won.

The bronze bushings have a micro porous bearing surface that holds lubricant very well.

I'm still working on a proper label.  I'd like one that John Boy could enjoy for many years.  Possibly something laser engraved.

Dick, that would be real nice.  Possibly having been a solid supported and purchaser of nearly all the Big Lube molds ...

Howdy John Boy,

Santa is going to bring you the only existing copy of the DD 45-70 500 grain Mk-II mold in existance.  I'm going to cast up some for myself before sending it along.  It comes with a One year permit to use and then returns to the sender, me.

The Tower of Power loading stands will be in my hands very soon.  I'm still looking for an outsource for the positioning and ram jags.  The plating is done and the bronze bushings are being installed.

There's a whole list of accessories being developed and engineered for the Tower of Power cylinder loader.  The engineer I'm working with is very imaginative.  Watch for developments.

I hear tell you are considering adding a Black Powder powered automatic cleaning chamber to the Tower of Power , if this is true I'm sure Hellgate and Fingers McGee will fight over the first one.  I'm holding out until you add an auto bullet/ball feeder and powder drop to the tower ala the XL650.  I tell people I shoot percussion revolvers because I'm too lazy to load cartridges before a match, if I can get one with those attachments, they may start to believe me.

The stands are in my hands now.  I've had to add extra shelf and cabinet storage.  Many will ship soon.  Others will be held as inventory.

Rumors abound concerning attachments.  Offers of design help and evaluation have surfaced.  I'm grateful and appreciative for all.

To all of you that have waited for their back orders to be filled, thank you.  Your Tower of Power cylinder loading stands will be showing up soon.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement.
