Hi Bob, i copied a post by Will on the HOG thread on colour without a rust tank.

"You can cut Fiebing's Black Professional Oil Dye about half & half with Mahogany, extra virgin olive oil the leather first, do the block-out with the bee's wax, just like in the how-to article.  Then hit it with the mix.  I would experiment with some scrap before ya' tried it, but it would get you a little closer to the color without the rust tank."

Here is a leather vest that my dear old Mother and I made about 30 years ago. It doesn't fit either me or my son anymore so it will have to be handed down to a grandchild. My Mum was quite a seamstress and a good teacher. I did some family research and found that my Great-grandfather was a harness maker. Unfortunately his shop burned down many years ago.

Really enjoying this forum and thank you for the kind words on my previous posts.  God bless, y'all.
