Here is a California style slim jim holster I made for a 1851 Navy, pretty standard style for the 1850's. The carving pattern is my goofy idea ( I did see some of it on the cover of a magazine, it wasn't on a holster) I am working on  my non-artistic abilities ::).  This is the first time I made a toe plug and sewed it in place, not as big a deal as I had thought it would be.  :-\  I kind of like them now.  ;)

Wiley  :) ;) :D ;D

Howdy Wiley,
Beautiful job! The carving pattern is not a goofy idea. I really like it. This Holster looks right out of the pages of "Packing Iron". That 51' Navy will look right at home in this one. Many thanks for showing it to us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Dr. Bob

Lookin good there Wiley!!  Like the color!  ;D  :D  ;D

I been takin' a break the past couple of days. My Dad is having some problems with emphysema and looking at a pretty rough road ahead.

Been spending some time with him and Mom trying to help out as much as I can.  I'll probably be doing some more stuff over the next couple of day and posting. Like a dummy I sent out the SG belts and other stuff before I got pics. of them so I have none of those to post right now.

I'll be back with more in a couple of days.

Keep up the good work Pards.  Love the looks of the leather bein' cranked out here. :)
