Farmer, I really like that double loop rig.  Good, old-fashioned styles still work best for my taste.
People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.

My personal rig is very similar,....I'm going to try a 3 loop rig,..but with the 10 oz leather,...the two loop is a pain trying to fold over and get thru the loops,..dunno how the 3 loop will work. I butchered a few pieces of leather before I finally got a 2 loop pattern I liked,...lol,..but I got it now.

Thanks Pards :D

I wanted an Eagle theme for the rig and those Morgan conchos match up fine with the real thing on the buckle.

I'm out of projects untill my leather gets off of the back order list.

Sure do like the leather thats posted here, mighty fine craftsman out there.

Thanks

This is the second time I've been called Ten Sleep, guess I've been called worse, just want to know who this Ten Sleep pard is LOL  ::) ;) :D ;D As for but pads, I like to use high density foam rubber, like what they use on flip flops, I have a long pull, so I usually cement two pieces together to get the length I need, stuffed inside the butt cover , you never know it's there.

                                                Regards

 Montana, Farmer, beautiful rigs Pards.

Montana, I made my own pattern for my butt cover and I use a closed-cell foam for padding. If I can find it I will psot the pattern.
Lost..... I ain't never been lost...... fearsome confused fer a month er two once... but I never been lost.

You shouldn't really need a pattern if you have the gun there, That particular one is on my 870. I just wrapped a piece of 5-6 oz around the stock,...and cut where it needed,......the cap on the end- I just wet a piece and laid it over the butt and started pushing and stretching and molding until It dired and took shape-then cut off the excess. The sewing to get the stitch inside is a major pain in the butt!!! ;D ....and ditto on the closed cell foam here too.
