AC, you made a very nice KT holster there, I'm sure KT will be happy to see what you did, and that bleed knot looks good too, those 22's should be real happy.

Dave, thanks for the look see, your work is always very impressive, the inlays are really cool, they're both beautiful sheaths.

Keep up the good work pards

Just finished my new rig for my 22Cal Colt Frontier Scout.  Used the method that KT used to keep the leather to a min by sewing half of a holster to a back.

AC

Wonderful!

I don't suppose you'd sell the gun and holster and make a belt to match?

Sorry Forty Rod, thats my favorite gun, its a 1962 Colt Frontier Scout, and it shoots to point of aim like no other I have.  The hammer is a bit stiff, but trigger pull is clean and crisp.  Hard to find holsters for it so I made this one.

AC, that is a great little holster. I really like the contrast of the two colors and your stamping and spot placement is picture perfect. Nice job.

Dave good looking sheaths. You do like that inlay work don't ya.

I bought one for my son in '66-'68period...a .22 magnum...and it was stolen from him in '88.  If I can find another one I'll keep it until he gets older, like about 60.   ::)

Great lookin sheaths, do you have a pic of the back of the one with the brass spots?  Is the slot part of or the only belt loop?

AC

AC, no I didn't get a pic of the back but that slot is the only belt loop.I tried to reproduce one of the sheaths in the "Plains Indians Knife Sheaths" book. Thanks for the nice comments pards.Dave  :)

Thanks KT, still not your quality but gettin there.  It did take a little rethinking as too the process, but I like the way the holster comes out.  Thanks for letting me copy the technique.

Howdy AC,
That a mighty fine looking Holster you made there! Very nice design and a pleasure to look at! Thank for sharing this with us.

Howdy Dave,
Great job on your Sheaths! They really compliment those good looking Bowie Knife's. Many thanks for sharing this with us.

I made this Rig for my youngest son's .357 Magnum. He is going to use it for deer hunting next season. He went hunting with me for the first time when he was 12 years old. That was 27 years ago. It won't be long and he will be taking his son hunting with him.

I used 1-1/2" wide Black Nylon Webbing for the Harness assembly along with Plastic Quick Release Snap Clips and Adjusting Sliders. This gives him a lot of adjustment. The Harness assembly is attached to a removable leather insert so it can be removed quickly and used as a Belt Holster.

The finish is several coats of Neet's and a final coat of Skidmore's.

Those are good-looking sheaths, Dave. It's hard to choose which looks better. That means they're both good ones.Nice holster, AC. It has a good look to it. Nice color and design.

 Howdy Johnny McCrae

This shoulder rig is really nice, and would be perfect for a large revolver, it would make a great over the coat or jacket rig, using the webbing is also a good method, and we see this used more and more in modern shoulder harness's, it's light and the width should aid in comfort on the shoulder, I know your son will treasure this, not only because it's nice, but because you made it, WELL DONE Pard. and thanks for the look see. ::) :o 8) :D

Cattleman, you are really doing good work, and especially so considering what a short time you've been doing this, relative to many of the other Pards on this forum. I really admire how you've jumped in with both feet. I remember you making that pair of chaps and saying to myself "Holy Cow, this guy is really going after it" You've inspired me to quit being so hesitant and get on with it

Johnny my friend that is a great design and a good looking set up. I believe your son will value that for the rest of his life, and pass it on to his son with pride.

Dave Cole, you are an artist, no doubt. I admire your work a lot

I made this guitar strap last night. She wanted roses, so I've practiced carving them to the point where I realized this is as good as I'm going to get, at least at this time. I sent her these pictures and she's happy with it, so I guess that's all that counts.

I'm getting some help with the color and finish, which I will talk about when it's complete. For now I'm glad to be done with it so I can move on to something besides roses!

The man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument.

Looks good JD!!!

Johnny, nice design for that shoulder rig. Looks comfy too.
