Thanks everyone!! I love to carve, maybe it is because I am not very good!!! But I hope to get E for effort!! :) I have made up my mind to do a belt, and I know it will take me a long time to do, but I feel that it is time to make the effort. If I don't try I will never be able to carve, so I must make lots of mistakes before I will ever be half decent.

I can tell you for a fact, that if I can carve, I know you can!!!!!! The only thing I have going for me is, it doesn't matter how crappy I carve, I will allways try to be better. I have had the best teachers a person can have, (my friends on this forum) and now it is up to me.

Thanks to everyone for the comments on the knife and sheath. I only have one problem... I am fresh out of files so I guess I need to start haunting the yard sells again ;D

I have a new project in mind, and most likely will take a lot of time to finish! I enjoy seeing everyone's work, it seems to keep the fire burning in me!! It has got cold here so that will slow me down a lot!! But I hope to keep going!

Thanks for all the kind words on my cuffs. I know that they could of turned out better, but the only way I know to get better is by doing.

AWESOME job!!! I only wish I had a little of your talnent!!!!!! I have sit and thought days apon days of making something that looks like that, but I never get started!! I guess I just don't have it in me to create leather goods that have that 1800's look!! You guys that make the early period leather goods have a insite that I just don't have????

John been gone all day and just got to see your post. It it absolutly FANTASTIC.. Great workmen ship. Cant wait to get it. Maybe now Josh will make something not so plain for me. OOO Hi Josh ;D  Josh is in the process of making me a really different sheath right now and Dave and him are making a one of a kind knife also. A while ago GB had a knife showing that I had to have , so he was kind enough to sell it to me. Thats the knife in the sheath.I,m starting to get a nice collection thanks to all the pards on CAS. Thanks to all of you. Neds making me some nice pieces also. KT

I finally found the time to make a Sim Jim holster for my 1860 conversions. I made it to mate up with my knife scabbard....Now for a belt!  ;)
