Hi all.  Here is my latest creation. I work mainly in black, so it is kinda hard to see all of the work.  :(  Anyway, this is the new holster for my CAS.  I'm finishing a left had rig now.  I used an alcohol-based dye and wet molded the holster to the Vaq.  Next time, I'll try an old-based dye and see if I can get it to soften-up a bit.  I just received my Chuck Burrows video and will be trying do duplicate his techniques.

Thanks All!

Looks good, to me. Nice simple design. It'll look good with a mate. Be sure to show us the pair of them when you finish. ;)

Now you're talking. The slimjims make a good looking set. Those should do well.

Thank you Marshal.  Appreciate the encouragement!

Brazos Jack

Hi folks. Here is a photo of the Single Six Rig.

Brazos Jack

Ah! Finally, it worked. Okay, here's another one. This is my Callahan Lightning.

Slowhand Bob

Brazos, I like the Single Six but the one that has intrigued me is your Texas Slim.  The Texas Slim looks to be a real good design for the pards who like Duke Holsters, cut the skirt back to a half design and presto.  I'll let you know how it works the next time I place an order through Hidecrafters and get some patterns for it.  Hmmm, been lookin fer an excuse to make a ruff-out money belt anyhows!

Brazos Jack

Slowhand,

By all means MODIFY that rascal!! A feller ought to customize a pattern to his liking. Just look what the Sassparilla Kid did with the Texadero Holsters! (That's Hardpan's young'un.) Cool holsters, eh?

Brazos Jack

Just so the folks know, this is the Texas Slim. Named for a SASS Shooter of the same Alias. (He's the one I designed the original pattern for.)

Trailrider

Howdy, Pards,
Go to www.gunfighter.com/trailrider to see my stuff!  Ride easy, but stay alert!
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Nice work, pards.

Thanks for the photos, Brazos. Your Texas Slim does have that Duke look. Nice touch with the accented borders. You do that with an airbrush?

Thanks for the link, Trailrider. I'm particularly like your Cheyenne model. The double-loop Cheyenne holster design is my favorite all time holster.

Thanks Marshall.  The Scallops on the holsters are done with a small wool dauber and the rest is done with a 3" diameter sheep shealing applicator. Listen up folks "Fiebing's Oil Dye!" It's the only way to go.

Oh, and being as you like Cheyennes . . . here's one with the toe plug and all!

Silver_Rings

I'm always impressed by the fine work you pards do.  ;D  Very professional looking.

Looks good, Unc. Is that a toe plug sewn in? Toe plugs are a nice touch.

Here's one for ya. Peso Bill recently asked me to make a couple of boot Holsters for his Baby Remington. Well, I coulcn't help myself . . . I had to play a little. So, I made a Cheyenne Mexican Loop for the Baby Remmie. Overall length: 6 3/4"

Enjoy!

Marshal Will Wingam

Cute. I like it. I can't say I'd have thought of doing that. ;D
