Glad ya'll like the look see! got more to post, but have to "develop" my photos and the shop keeps a calling!!!!

GB - that horn is an original - dated 1791 and again 1825 (and it's my keeper!)....here's a couple of other images....

The small horn is one I made and scrimmed about 40 years ago - time does sure fly.........

By the way do you know about Scott Sibley's book on making horns? He and his wife Cathy are two of the top makers and scrimmers today and the book is an excellent one.

Chuck, thanks for the links. I'm sure I will enjoy them. I have been following Scott and Cathys work for many years. they are top drawer no doubt about it.

Well heres another rawhide sheath for you. I made this one for an old green river knife that I put new handles on last week.

It is a rawhide body and is laced with rawhide.

Great work GB, your very talented pard.
Just finished this birdshead hunter up.6 1/2" aged and etched 1095 blade, cocbolo handle. The sheath was setup for gunbelt, and also given a stud for inside the belt or boot carry.Although not needed I added a buckskin thong and antler for retention, which can be removed if desired.Dave :)
