Okay, got the whole dang album.  How do I select certain pictures (Or remove the rifles without taking them off of other posts), post the pics here instead of the link, and add captions?

Forty Rod, I've met a number of people with that belief; well actually I met their loved ones while planning their funerals.

So good luck with that :D

Howdy Slick
You carving is coming along fine.
Remember your deco cuts should flow with the pattern. Start heavy and lift out of the cut at the end of the stroke.

As usual, these holsters have a story. I only set out to make one as a test of a pattern and the weight of leather. These are made from Tandy saddle skirting, about 12 oz. and unlined.

I had a plan for the back with a bigger skirt and "wings" behind the belt, like Longhunter and at least one Evil Roy WB holster I've seen, but my measurements didn't work out. That's one reason I didn't do any stamping. Once I cut it down, I decided what the heck, might as well make two.

Now I guess I'll make a belt to match it.

Thanks Dalton, coming from you that means a lot. I did two coats of straight pro dark brown, with a coat of EVOO in between. Then I applied a coat of Fiebings Sheridan Brown antique paste, which gave it a richness it didn't have without it.

I applied two coats of EVOO to the straps, then a coat of Eco-Flo all in one Desert Tan. This is the first time I've tried this type of dye, and I only used it because the leather was too pasty color wise for me. Finally I put a coat of Lexol on the straps.
