Here is very rough prototype of a Shotgun Shell & Cartridge Combo Slide. It will hold (6) 12 Ga. shells, (5) .38 special rounds and (4) .45 Colt rounds.

I made a layout on paper first and it did not turn out as expected. There will be some refinements and adjustments made on the final version. I really got rusty after a three week vacation from leather working.

Marshal Will Wingam

Santee, very nice holster. You did a great job of matching the belt. That gets a thumbs up.

Will, glad your daughter is home and you're all working to get the rest of it straightened out. Sounds like a great kid.
That rig looks good with the buckle. Nice to see those available.

Johnny, that looks like a good design. Very well thought out. Nice work.

Looks good Johny, but a couple of questions (Big surprise ::))

Are the shotgun loops woven, using a bag punch? How it is working not sewing the entire strip underneath the shotgun shells? It that something you plan to incorproate in future slides?

Thanks John, very inspiring!

Many thanks for the kind words.

JD,
These are woven loops. I don't use a bag punch... just punch two round holes and complete the slot with a utility knife. I lock the loops in place with Barge. Not sewing the strip underneath the shells all the way was a goof on the prototype. I'm going to make a final slide and I'll take some pictures.

Another "stingray" holster.  This is a modified western style with a belt loop. Main body is mahogony in color with a black stingray insert.  The gun is a Uberti 3 1/2" with a birds haed grip....45 Colt cal.  The holster is for an old guy who used to have a gunstore and leather shop, and is no longer able to make any of his own leather..

Howdy Outrider.
That is a very sharp holster. I'm gonna have to try that sometime.

Thanks for the kind comments.  I was considering doing a set with inlaid Caimen (small croc from South America) until I found out what the cost would be...$12.00 to $14.00 per CENTIMETER...wow that's $ 30.00 to $35.00 per inch....ouch...those amazon fellers have a good business going there for sure....
Maybe I should go on a hunt in the sewers of NYC..I hear tell there are lots of alligators in there....NOT
