knucklehead

nice job jd.

you can squeese the bullet loops together a little more if you dont use a rivet in between the loops.
just need a rivet or sewing on the outside edges of the bullet loops they wont loosen up doing it this way.
just a thought.

Thanks Wiley, I'm so glad that Bro. Tex like it and did him good.

He had the right measurements and it worked out great.

My g-belt is almost half way done, lots of carving n' tooling on that puppy.  Whew. ::)

JD Alan

That's true Knucklehead, but this particular fella only wanted two, 'cause he wanted space between the bullets so he could grab one fast. Most of the reloads under the clock are one, maybe two, if you do one handgun and long long gun, like we did at our last shoot. I suggested a third one just in case.

I've watched guys with a full row of bullets close together struggle to pull one out when there's a bunch.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. It's a good design thanks to Slowhand Bob, but I'm not too excited about my execution; very sloppy due to time constraints. I will offer to make him another one after this Saturday's shoot.

Slick you did a nice job on that sheath!

My heartiest compliments to everyone for all of the beautiful work posted here recently. It's always a genuine pleasure to view everyone's fine work.

Many thanks to you Ladies and Gents for sharing your talents and expertise with us.

We arrived back in Wisconsin last night from our ski trip. Internet access was unavailable at times in the mountains. Now it's time to get back to work in my Leather Shop. I hope I didn't forget too much.

Cheer up things could be worse, sure enough I cheered up and they got worse.

JD Alan

Thanks KT. I'm slowly creeping up on the items that have eluded me, like bullet loops. I still have to try sewing some instead of weaving, but I'm getting there. I haven't done any figure or animal carving yet either, but I'm in no hurry for that one :-\

That looks good, BH. It'll make a fine belt pattern, just a little different than the norm and more interesting.

howdy Pards,
Here is another rig that I had started before Turkey Day, I finished it today, wasn't much left to do to it, I am sorry the pictures are very good. I am kinda proud of this rig! It os a double strong side holsters that I designed, it also has 12 bullet loops. I spent a lot of time on this rig because I am sending it to a friend over in Wales UK.
