Ten Wolves Fiveshooter

Howdy KT,

This rig is beautiful, what a classy look it has, your tooling is always great, and this is no exception, the limited use of spots makes it really look period, and antiqued, the wider belt will also accommodate two large revolvers very well, the color you chose is nice and rich looking, this is a rig that could have been worn by a famous Marshal or Lawman, or wealthy Rancher.

Just as a side note, I was told years ago by an old timer that spots were used back in the day to protect the leather from getting scuffed and tore up, and they did a good job of that, and then the use of spots became useful not only as protection, but ornamental too. I thought you would get a kick out of this Kid. ;D

  Boothill Bob,

Nice day planner, your wife should be very happy, and if your lucky she might make you dinner..... ;D :D ;D :D ;D ;D ;D

Much obliged, pards (and pardettes) for the kind words. Haven't meant to be a stranger, just had my hands full with lots of stuff that's kept me away from the workbench.

Hopefully, I'll have more time 'afore long and can post regularly again one of these days.

As I said earlier, lots of outstanding work been posted here since I visited last. Hats off to all you folks.
I do miss this place. Damn fine buch of talented folks hereabouts.

KT, what a great looking rig! If I remember correctly it's a bit rare for you to do an unlined rig. I think it's a good idea for you NOT to line one considering how much sewing it requires, and what all you've been through. That color Rocks, along with the stamping and and other embellishments makes for a very cool set up. I'm really glad you're feeling up to doing anything at all. Like I said on another post, you're a tough old bird, and we can argue the old part ;D

BhB, what a nice gift for the wife. Your carving looks great.

Irish Dave, them's some sweet lookin holsters for sure. That's a pro job if I've ever seen one. Good to see you posting again.

Nice work everyone, JD

Marshal Will Wingam

Let's see if I can get all these straight..... :D

Wiley, great spur straps. Just the right amount of glitz.

Skeet, that's a mighty fine belt you made to go with the holster. It makes a fine rig.

Dave, nice work on the push dagger and sheath. The inlaid dice is a very good look.

AC, that's a really good-looking case you made for Rick. Great color and workmanship.

Slick, beautiful checkbook. Your sister will be proud to pull that one out.

GB, those spur straps are beyond cool. The longhorns on them are great!

JD, that holster is very good. The stamping on it looks balanced and appropriate. Nice work.

WC, that black rig is really good. I like the little bit of decoration on the buckle. It's a nice accent.

BH, that holster with the bullet loops on it looks just fine. I like the looong look.

Helda, that rose belt is truly beautiful. Very nice coloring job. The other pieces are also very fine work. Welcome to the forum.

Wow, ten more pages to go. This is great fun!

WC, the scabbard came out great. The guy should be very happy with those.

Wiley, that rig is beautiful. It looks historically accurate. You do Chuck proud with that one.

Cool crossdraws, Helda. The two-tone with spots is a good look.

Welcome, Rat. That holster is really nice. Good work on it. Looking forward to more of your stuff. Welcome.

Slick, that black Slim Jim is a good one. Nice work, just the right border on it.

TW, it's cool to see your first rig. I don't have mine, it walked off one night. I may have the 3rd or 4th but there's only one 1st.

Slick, it's fun to see some of your first stuff, too. Thanks.

More cool stuff, Helda. Those wooly saddlebags are most interesting.

KT, that rig is beautiful. I love the dark brown. Good choice for it.

Nice daytimer, BH. Your wife is a lucky one. Great finish.

Beautiful Slim Jims, Dave. Those really look like they came down the time line.

Well, I made it. There is some very wonderful work showing. Ace says it right: Awsome!.

My first pair of Chaps. All hand sewn including the zippers. WC helped me with them. Although it was probably not what I was saying at the time, if I make another pair, oops when I make another pair I will probably hand sew them also.
