Slim, real nice gift there Pard. When someone takes the time to make something instead of dropping a few bucks at a store it's always appreciated and valued a lot more. That is something she will keep and show off to her friends.

AC, once again you impress the heck out of me. It's just too bad you didn't start doing this years ago, 'cause you might have been a household name in the leather world by now!

Okay, I know its another pair of spur straps, but they don't take much leather and I am getting more practice out of a side that way. I got the conchos and spots from the King of Bling so I want to say thanks to the Kid.
Tell me what ya think.  Is there hope for me or should I stick to butchering guns ??? ;) ;D

Very nice, GB.  How did you cut the scallop shapes on the round strap-end? If with a punch, which one?

GunClick Rick

Those are awsome GB,very awsome..Never seen a pair with steerheads like that. Money makers right there..
Bunch a ole scudders!

Gun Butcher

Rick, thanks friend, I was hoping someone would be able to recognize what kind of animal it was  ;) ;D

Skeeter, the scallops were made with a regular punch with one side ground off. Got the idea from one of the Pards on here, can't remember which one. And thanks for the kind words.

Forty Rod

Well shoot, GB!  I don't wear spurs, have only owned one pair in my life (cheap toy spurs with Gene Autry's name on 'em, 'bout 1947-'48 or before), and wouldn't consider using them on a horse.

I've never had a need for spur straps and usually thought folks were foolish to dandy them up as much as they do, but these?  These I could get into as a regular thing.  They just really caught my eye.

You done good on those.

First of all thanks for all the kind remarks about those spur straps I showed about five pages back much appreciated pards.

Skeeter great lookin gun rig you put just the right amount of aging on that one. I would like to know more about how you aged that buckle.

AC, good job on that case pard.

Montana, your wife will enjoy that check book cover well done pard nice carving.

GB, beautiful design pard.  I agree with Dr. Bob there should be a whole slew of folks over here at the UT campus that would part with some bucks for those spur straps.
