Johnny, ya took my breath away Pard with those fine lookin holster and belt.

The color is awsome, anteek, I like that.

I have 3 49ers on the drawing board, will have them done by mid May I hope.

Mean while here is a pik of my new holster in the making.Just finished up the toolin tanite. It gets it's liner glued on tomorrow.
I'm thinking of a second boarder on it tho as it is kinda wide.

Input gladly okay.

Looks good MS!
As for your border, take your dividers/compass, and poke 1 end into your current border, then scribe a narrow line around the current border. Then cut and bevel that to make a narrow bead. It will give you a raised bead around your carving, and will help fill that space.

A feller asked me to build a second strong side for him. The original is about 3 years old and is sitting here with the new one.

A hot cup of joe for the first person to tell me which is the old and which is the new. ;D

Once again, flattering mistakes. I know I say that too much, but it's true.

Many thanks for all of the kind words Pards.

Howdy AC,
Very nice! That is a real clean and elegant carving design!

Howdy Montana,
Beautiful job of carving! Great looking color! Look for ward to seeing the finished product.

Howdy EE,
Those are some great looking Holsters. You did a fantastic job of matching everything especially the color.

Thank you Gents for sharing your work with us.

Thanks Pards, I glued the liner on tanight, will know more tomorrow how that went.

Then it's stitch and sew. no machine, only these hands. Some day I get machine, maybe.

Definetly the one on the right EET, good color match.

Arizona Cattleman

Thanks pards, JD here is a pic of the back.  This was just a test, the next will be two duals with some matching carving.

I've found over the years  that two of the greatest tools in leather working is a good memory, and a good note book.

Ya never know when an old job is gonna come back and bite ya in the butt.

That right one is gonna need to wear a bit more to match, and putting natural wear on a holster is something
that can't be done by hand. Sure you can anteek a holster, but wear is another story.

Got a meeting today with the minds of the local shooting club, so I'll be out for a while.

Chat with y'all in a bit.

MontanaSlick

I was just guessin the one on the right as really, they both look the same. Nice match.

Johnny, that rig looks really great. The finish is perfect for it. You wanted an authentic look and nailed it. That's a first rate job. It was worth all the planning you put into it.

BJ, that canteen holder is cool. I like the canvass top. Nice touch. The design is simple and attractive. Nice work.

AC, that's a mighty nice mag holder. The simple design on it looks elegant. Good work.

Slick, your holster is coming along fine. Dalton has a good suggestion with the border. That can offset the tooling nicely. A beader can be used to do the same thing, too. Looking forward to the finished pics.

EE, that's a perfect match job. My compliments on that. Good work.

Here is my Sunday with nothing to do project.  Thought they would be  nice little practice pieces and they were.
They only have one coat of EVOO on them and the sun left town before I got that far so maybe I can find a little sun tomorrow and then one more coat of oil.

Thanks for the kind replies guys. I don't have any old guns to make holsters for Just new ones. One day maybe I'll get some. I've been looking into mounted shooting, but the clubs keep getting kicked out of the arena they shoot in.
