Beautiful sheath, Dave. I really like the quilt pattern. I've used it myself and it has a real quality look. The knife is also outstanding.

Another outstanding one, GB. The belt loop is unique. No question how that'll hang. Very nice.

Kid, that inlay work is really striking. Nice touch to put it in the initials, too. Fascinating work.

What kind of beer do you offer 'em, Dave? They ignore mine. Must not like micro brews. ;D

Howdy Dave,
Beautiful work! Your Knife's look like fine jewelry and the your Sheaths compliment them.

Howdy GB,
You have created a work of art for your Pard. He will be proud to wear it.

Howdy KT,
Your son will treasure this very fine looking rig. It sure is great to make leather that will stay in the family.

Many thanks to all of you gentlemen for sharing your talents and expertise with us.

GB, wow where do you get these fantastic ideas?  I guess I need to change the brand of beer I drink.  What a beautiful knife sheath.

KT, You also what imagination.  That inlay design is great and the whole rig is super well done.

QuoteFor the past three years I've been using a cross-draw setup with .38 special 1873 SAA pistols in a 7-1/2" barrel length. I've purchased a USFA and a Great Western II 1873 SAA's in .45 Colt in 5-1/2" barrel lengths. I want to switch over to a right hand/left hand strong side rig.
Here is the third try. These are Slim-Jim styles with the pouch dropped down 1" from the top of the belt loop and a 10 degree barrel forward cant. I tried them out and I'm getting closer. I don't like the way the pouch looks with the bottom sewn shut so it's back to the drawing board.

Attached is a picture of a Holster I made a while back. I'm going to try for more of this look on my next set. Good thing I'm not paying for the research & development costs on this project!

Johnny very nice work and I really like the Blk. one. U know me and spots. ;D KT

Ned Buckshot

Johnny if you don't like the sewn through toe maybe try a toe plug, very authentic for the style.

Ned

Here's one I did for Rick some time back.

I wouldn't take a million dollars for it either ;) I hope to have grandkids someday..
Bunch a ole scudders!

Howdy Ned,
That's a great suggestion! Don't know why I never thought of a toe plug before. It would certainly look good and also help hold the shape. Thank you Sir.

Kind of a tedious job but the end result is worth the trip.

I don't do them often but once in a while a certain design just calls out for one.

Like this.
