Josh thats what I call first class. Nice sheath design but what I really like is the knife. Great job. KT

  Howdy Josh  :D

I like it Josh, a gamblers dagger, very well done, and on the back side, the clip looks to be strong enough to last, is it spring steel? the size is perfect for a hide out knife or boot knife, your carving tells what type gent would wear your knife, and the color is rich and classy. The knife is killer, it really looks great, Keep them coming Josh, I always look forward to seeing your work.

     Best Regards

Josh, That is class right down to the last stitch.  Great job on the sheath and the kinfe. Don't think I've ever seen better. I love the way you always finish the back to compliment the front.

I am so glad we actually talked on the phone before proceeding!!!
By the way guys,.. that KK is from a sketch I made in about 1954. Josh was able to take it and do his magic

Here a are a couple of projects I just finished.

The Black Holsters are a matched set. They are fully lined and were dyed with Fiebing's Professional Black Oil Dye followed by three coats of Neets and one coat of Skidmores Leather Creme.

In regards to the Tan Rig, I've been shooting Duelist for the past three years and wearing a cross draw holster on my left side. For next season I want to try a right hand/left hand strong side rig so I made this one to practice with. It is a basic "Plain Jane" rig but I'm happy the way the color turned out. The rig was immersed in my latest batch of Walnut dye for approximately one half hour. After letting it dry thoroughly, I applied three coat of Neets Foot Oil followed by one coat of Skidmores. This is one of the looks that I try to get and I hit this one by chance.

I started taking Carving lessons at our local Tandy Store last week. I want to be able to add a little bit more to my work. It a;ways seem to look the same.

Plain, simple and looking good. The brown rig looks like could have just come off some cowboys hips after a trip to town. they look great, Johnny. I wish My local Tandy would have some classes but they don't seem interested. I am sure you will get alot out of it.

Very nice combo, Josh. The knife and sheath are really nice. Good work.

Good rigs, JM. I like the spots on black. That will go nicely with a black hat. The brown one is more conservative and traditional cowboy. Both are good work. I agree on the double strong side for duelist. Was that crossdraw you've been using a leftie or did you do the triple-jointed-backward-spaz-grab to pull your pistol with your left hand?

Many thanks for all of the kind words Pards.

Marshall,
I wore the crossdraw holster on my left side, did the crossdraw dance and drew the pistol with my right hand.

Heres one I made off of page 50 in Packing  Iron. Just finished it to go with the knife sheath John made for me. Dont know what I,ll do on the belt yet. The second one is for a rig for the knife and sheath Dave and Josh made for me. Belt is in the works now.KT

Ace Lungger

Howdy Johnny and KT, :)
Johnny AWESOME job, great looking rigs. Very nice looking period rigs!!Your lines and design are perfect, and great detail on the spots!!!
KT, Another pair of super sharp holsters.Great detail and design, you did a great job on the spots looking just like the one in Packing Iron, and also a super job on the fringe rig!

Thanks for all the positive re-enforcment Pards.

Boot Clip.  I did not make the boot clip it is a manufactured item. Unfortunatly these are no longer in production but I was lucky enough to get to use a couple of them.   They are a little stouter than your typical stamped clip available from Tandy's and the like and yes they are spring steel.

Gun Butcher-  I do try to always do something on the back side of the sheath.  I just feel it shows attension to detail and care fer the product yer makin and the materials yer usin.  The Devil's in the details ya know and stuff like that helps to set handmade items apart from mass produced items.

It sure is a pleasure gettin to view everyone wares here in the show yer stuff forum.  thanks fer the inspiration and feedback Pards !

Well done KT, the top one does look a lot like the one in Packing Iron, and the other one is way out, and has that Terico Kid touch to it, they should all make good mates to the knives and sheaths you just got,
