Triple W, that is a great looking set. I really like the simple but very classy lines on the holster and the sheath. First rate, Pard.

I finally found the time to make a Sim Jim holster for my 1860 conversions. I made it to mate up with my knife scabbard....Now for a belt!  ;)

Very nice work WWW.

Very much my style preference on both peices.

Tell me about your Bowie.  I had an Edge Mark 8" blade that was a ringer for that one.  I bought it at one of the last Great Western gun shows before they moved from Commerce to Pomona 'long about 1980.

I gave it to man who was going to fit some new scales and a better guard to it for me  and haven't seen him (or the knife) since.  That was about 1996.

Good all-around working knife for the $40.00 or so I paid for it.

BTW, I see you prefer the cutting edge to the rear on the left side (or forward on the right) , too.  ;D

Got a new 2 part stamp in from Barry King this week and this is what I came up with. KT

Thanks everyone.
Forty Rod, you nailed it! It is a Edge Brand. I picked this one up in a trade back in 1981. I guess they were quite common in the 60's & 70's. Mine is 13 inches overall. Always was my favorite knife. I just wish they had made them without the "Original Bowie" marking, then they would be perfect in my eyes.  :D

This is one snazzy looking rig, the BK stamps are beautiful, but I also like you holster design, it's nice clean looking, and using a separate strip of leather for your bullet loops adds a nice touch, WELL DONE PARD  :D ;D ::) :o 8)

An awful lot of English Bowies in those days bore that or a similar marking. It's "period correct" if you're into that.

If you ever decide to sell it, let me know.

My 4 yer old Linder is almost identical, but has a much heavier guard of stainless steel (or heavy nickel or chrome plate).  The blade is SS, too, and it drives me nuts that it looks so shiny and perfect all the time.

Aw Kid , you did it again. You've gone and knocked my socks off one more time, and its to durn cold to be doing that.
That is an absolutely geeorgous rig. You really have an eye for combining stamps and laying out a beautiful design.

That holster is a great match for your sheath, WWW. The rich color and simple lines really look good. Nice work. That knife is a very good design. It's really a fine companion to an 1860 conversion.

Very nice rig, Kid. That's a really nice effect you got on those holsters. The whole thing has a grace to it. Beautiful.

Thanks to all of you for the compliments. Comming from fellow leather artists ,all of whom put out fantistic rigs themselfs makes it just that much more meaningful. Thanks again. KT

triple w

Outstanding KT!  What a beautiful set, and I love that color. I can just imagine the time it took you to do these.....you are indeed a true artisan Sir.

KT, TOTALY AWESOME! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o I have a Barry King wish book my self, and those stamp you used is one that I have been eyeing!!!! Those 2 stamps and the other Barry King stamp you have used are KILLER :o :o I just love the way there look, you done a SUPER job with them, I am afraid if I had those i coul;dn't do as good of job that you did!!! In my opion the stamping makes those rigs look old, maybe they are not a period stamping but I think they make the rigs look very period???
I guess that would be in the eye of the beholder?? ???
Great Job, anyone would be proud to wear those!!
Keep them coming.
