Thank you all for the compliments. I just wanted to try the cutouts on the sheath and fitting the guard to the sheath the way  Dave and Josh did on that damascus knife. It ain't as easy as it looks. Once I decided on the guard I thought it would look good to carry that shape thru to the cutouts.
Guess this is one that worked  :o

GB,

Thats a fine lookin skinner ya got there Pard.   I'm lovin the guard shape and how you carried the design into the sheath. I will admit that I'm still not sure about seeing the blade through the front of the sheath but I do like the cutouts and I'm thinking your ready to go for an inlay on the next one  ;D

Here's a tip for fitting the sheath to the guard.  When assembling the knife you should have the front side of the guard already to the shape ya want'er.  Before assembling the knife trace the guard on a manila folder.  Finish knife. Carefully cut the folder out and fit the folder to the guard,  Now you got yer'self a pattern fer the top of that there sheath.

Glad I could be of assistance to a fellow knifemaker  ;D  ;D  ;D with the file advice.  I'm always open to share any  knowledge I may have with others.  Jus figure some other Pard gave it to me so I might as well give to another if'n I can.

KT, Haven't commented on your last few holsters.  I'm WOW-ed as is always the case with yer work.  You seem to have no trouble designing amazing tooling patterns and meticulously carrying them out.  Dye job....  Out of the park.  Let's face it,  it's just durn fine work that gives the rest of us a goal to shoot for with our own work.

Your new rig turned out great, after seeing the holster and sheath in person, I can really appreciate the belt holster and sheath all together, and that buckle really brings it all together, you're going to be one sharp looking Cowboy wearing this, OH, and you make me proud pard.

That design is cool, Ace. I like the spots on it. The drop and cant are nice. Good job on that one.

Quote from: Ace Lungger on December 01, 2009, 05:03:11 PMI am going to post a pic of a holster that is on ebay, that I realy like, tell me what you think of it??
This rig is very balanced looking. The floral pattern is a good look on it. You'd do well to make something like this.

Quote from: Kid Terico on December 01, 2009, 07:36:15 PM Heres one I started 5 weeks ago and lost interest in. Today I decided to finish it. KT
This one is great. I really like the rosette on the strap. Very beautiful.

Quote from: Gun Butcher on December 02, 2009, 08:55:28 PMHope youall like it and if you don't I hope you will tell me why. It really does help.
Nice sheath for a nice knife. You carry the line of the guard down the front nicely. The knife itself is most interesting and very functional looking, much like a skinner. The thing I like most about your sheath is that it carries the personality of the knife through the whole thing. Yep. I like it.

Wayne, your tooling is just beautiful. It makes a good look. The black works well with that pistol. I really like the three-tone logo buckle. It becomes the final tie-in for the pistol and the leather. Your leather is outstanding, anyway, and the whole rig is totally balanced. Outstanding work, pard.

Thanks for all your great works, pards. I miss a day here and everyone goes wild. Outstanding. What's it going to be like after I return from Tombstone next week? I'll be drooling for a couple days going over the posts and pics. Adtually, I'll have my laptop along so I can look in as long as I have WIFI.
