Howdy Kid,

It's always a genuine pleasure to view your work. Seeing your Western rooms is an extra treat. Many thanks for sharing this with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Boy Howdy Kid, that's a great set up! Everything about the rig looks good, but for me, the color, and how well it's applied is just over the top. Great pictures of your western collection as well. Thanks for sharing those. I pray you're feeling better through the healiing process. God bless, JD

Terry, you've got this stuff nailed! That's really good carving on a really sharp rig!

Oh, that does look good, Kid. I like the tooling. Outstanding. The gold accent is a nice touch, too. Very fine work.

I recently had an elderly gent come to me wanting a single holster rig for his new 44 mag New Model Blackhawk.  He is partially handicapped in that he cannot lift his right arm more than a few inches...so after a few minutes of measuring and testing with another rig...we finally decided that a crossdraw was in order.  Just a plain "no frills" rig.  Well, he picked it up last night and he can use it perfectly with his bad arm...no lifting is required...another happy camper.  I got to thniking though...what happens when he fires that thing with that bad arm????????????

Saw something today that made me wish I had a camera.  Down at Jersey Lilly was a fella with a gun cart...fully enclosed compartment for 4 long guns, storage box under a seat, 2cup holders, all the niceties...COMPLETELY COVERED IN TOOLED LEATHER.

I mean completely covered.  The inside was faced with tooled leather, every flat surface, the wells for the butts, the barrel rest, the inside of the doors, the floor, all of it.

The outside was totally covered, too, except for the axles and tires, and a few places on the frame where it wouldn't be practical.  Even the wheel disks up to the very edges of the rims, and the entire handle.

He had a few places where he'd put EOT badges and the like in places tooled to frame them and show them off.

A lot of this was stamped, but a lot was very nicely carved and hand tooled.  It was all artfully done and went together like a fine painting.  The guy is a master at this craft...and I couldn't lay my hands on a camera.

I was also so dumbfounded I didn't get his name.I suggested he post pictures here.  Maybe he will.  I sure hope so.

That rig is very beautiful in the siimple, clean lines and dark color, Outrider. Very tastefully done. I like it.

40R, that sounds like a cool cart. A lot of work, but it must look nice. If you ever see it again, get his email and have him send a pic.
