Well done Ace, that color turned out looking good, I'm sure your friend will really like it, your tooling and spot setting is right on, I might suggest that on your next belt, where you have sewed you billet and chaff, instead of going across with your sewing, use a rivet, this will make it stronger, sewing doesn't seem to hold up as well when you go across like this, and makes this area a little weaker, this is a high stress area, if you place your rivet just a little out in front of the stitching on both sides, this will make it a stronger billet and chaff.

You did well Ace , and you can be proud of yourself

Howdy Ace,

You did a great job! I know that it's not the easiest job to make something according to a person's exact specifications. You did real well and you can be very proud of your work.

Ace, that rig is great! Like TW said, the spot setting is very good. The color is also right for this rig. The holsters and belt are a very good match and definitely look like they belong together. Well done.

Howdy Pards,
Thanks to every one for the kind words! TW you are right and i never gave that a thought untill you brung that up! Thanks :) :)
I am going to work on the edges some more today. CW 316, that color was realy hard to come up with and don't think I could make it again! It is a combo of oil dyes and the walnut dye, I spent more time on the color than I did putting it toghter! I will allways like the natural dyes, and won't do any other leather unless it is a color that I can get with natural home made dyes. Again, I want to thank you guys, but you are way to kind!! I have a long way to go to be a decent leather worker, but I feel that I am gaining with every peice I work on.

Looks good, Cowboy. The color is vibrant and the scroll work is just enough. It's very balanced looking. Nice holster.

Howdy Cowboy,

Very nice job! Clean, neat and tastefully done! Isn't that Walnut dye great to work with? I just brewed up a fresh batch and can't wait to use it. Many thanks for sharing this with us.

I'm glad your happy with the walnut dye, your holster really looks nice, like others have said it is just enough tooling to look classy, and Slowhand Bobs design really is a good one, I think I'm going to have to talk to Bob about this, well done Pard. ::) :o 8)
