Another one bites the dust - this one is heavily aged (doesn't quite show in the pics) including a couple of rawhide "repairs"......

Howdy chuck,

Always a genuine pleasure to view your works of art! Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Wow Chuck, that's awesome! What's the orgins of that buckle? Way cool.

Howdy KT, :)
I have to agree with MW and TW, very nicely done! I would like to see some more pics of that rig!! Looking at the constuction of it, it looks as if a man was wearing that rig, he would never wear it out!! I am not much on the laceing, but that laceing is AWESOME!! That just might inspire me to lace my next rig!!
Thanks for sharing that very AWESOME rig!!
I will be looking forward to seeing more pic's!

Howdy Gents

With Kid Terico down right now I didn't feel much like posting my latest work, But I figured he would want me too, so Kid this posting  is for you, but you have to let me know what you think, and you have to get back with us real soon.

This is a Law Dog style holster with miner changes, it was left in my natural walnut dye for seven and a half days, the holster is lined, and hand sewed, the finish is Neatsfoot oil and then Skidmores Leather Cream, I got some nice color with this hide, which I was happy about, I installed a belt lock and hammer thong, and a holster to skirt tie down, the holster is very secured to the belt and won't ride up or change position.the main stamping was done with a tri-weave stamp, and then a small border stamp to accent. The slotted concho was added to the loop on the holster, and I used a bleed knot for the first time to secure it.

                                 Thanks for taking a look

                                tEN wOLVES  ;) :D ;D

I'm glad you posted these pics, TW. It's a very nice rig. I haven't used a tri-weave stamp but that looks good. If course, if I HAD a tri-weave stamp, I may be more tempted to use it. ;D It's a nice effect. The bleed knot is nicly done, it really adds to the holster. The color is really nice, too. I like the tone it came out. Thanks for the pics.

TW  keep up the tridition. Wouldnt have  any other . Your work is out standing . Great set of holsters and belt.Is this the rig you promised me before I got sick?  :o :P :PThanks for. Your a true friend.  Terry

JD Alan

10 Wolves, I LOVE this holster-belt rig! I was just staring at the Law Dog pattern at Tandy today. It's been out of stock for quite a while, and I flip flopped about buying it, but I spent too much on Barry King tools, so it will have to wait. Chan was offering 20% off Barry's tools, with no shipping to contend with; too good a deal to pass up.

I've read questions concerning how stamping holds up to moisture when wet molding. After looking at your stamping I don't think that should be a concern, unless you dyed the leather before you stamped and sewed it.

You've got great attention to detail, and the bleed knot is first rate. I'm practicing those, and hope to use one soon.

All the way around a great job. Thanks for sharing such great pictures and details.

Thanks pards, your comments are appreciated, Marshal Will, those tri-weaves come in two sizes, and they're not to hard to work with, give it a TRI, LOL

Kid, it's good to see you're still just as ornery, as before, we can talk about that rig, only I know what you do with other folks leather, scars the bejebers out of me, listen take care of yourself Pard, and do what they tell you, and you'll be back in your shop in no time. Thanks for the kind words Kid.

JD, good to hear you're enjoying that class, getting 20% off on BK tools is a bargain, and no S&H, you can't beat that,
I do all my sewing tooling /stamping and edge beveling before I put my gun leather in my natural dyes, then after the amount of days I'm dyeing, I'll take it and do any wet molding that needs to be done, then I let my leather thoroughly dry, after it is compleatly dry, all my tooling/stamping is set, then it's time to do my burnishing, then I do the conditioning and finishing, but the tooling /stamping all holds great, and doesn't fade away.
This was the first time I used the bleed knot, and it was fun, and I like the look, give it a try, I think you'll like it too. I like this Law Dog Design, and I'm glad I picked it up.

                              Thanks for the flowers Pards

                                 Best Regards

Great looking rig, 10 wolves.Very nice tooling and everything else.Dave :)

Every now and then I get a call for something out of the ordinary.I think this one qualifies. It's for twin 1911's.The three main belt is lined with suede and the holsters and mag pouches are lined and laced. It's certainly not subtle.Dave   :)
