Hello The Camp
I was looking at the Midway site the other day, and they listed 56-50 RCBS dies.  If I remember right, the price was in the $45- $50 range.  Has anyone here tried these out? ::)

$43.99,....... The ones I purchased from them just arrived this afternoon,......The only dies I've ever really had any serious problems from were some old Herter's dies,......I remember reading some where around here that someone was having a problem with a set or two being too long but as I understand RCBS has fixed the problem........
Regards,
Sgt Chapman

.56/50 Iron

Good Morning!
I received a set of RCBS .56/50 dies  and Marcot's "Spencer Repeating Firearms" book  last Thursday from Buffalo Arms. Cost was $44.00 for the three die set. They are well made and do an excellent job on the brass. Using the .50/70 die set was alright but I really like to get the bullet tight in the case. I don't necessarily crimp the bullet, but you can adjust the die so that while the bullet is not crimped, it is 'tight' in the neck. You can't do this with the .50/70 dies.
