It's a crude way of doing it but it works, and it enlarges when clicked.

Ok leathersmith's lets be knowing what you think of my first effort!

Not bad UK, not bad at all. I like your material and the lines of the holster are great. My first one looked as if I was suffering from the DT's. Yours are nice and smooth.

Well you are in for it now! Its real hard to get away from this leatherworking once it has a hold of you. Keep it up and every new piece will look even better, but don't forget to enjoy the ride.      GB

That looks good, UKs. Your work is fine. You'll see things you would do differently and your next one will not only be with the experience but will include your improvements. You're hooked, now. Welcome to the work. ;)

Not bad for the first time UK!!! Marshal is right. You will see things that you will want to change and do different, and you will only get better from here! Welcome to the club! DM

Welcome to the leather forum pard, I think you did well on your first rig, in fact I like it, it has a nice clean look to it, with just enough accent to set it off nicely, and your leather also has a nice color to it, just like some of the boys have said you will see things that you might want to change on your next holster or belt, but thats the way it always is I don't think any of us are totally satisfied with everything we do , but this is what keeps us striving to do better. You did good pard.  ::) :o 8)

I look forward to seeing your next project  :D

Many thanks to all of you for your encouraging comments and advice. I will endeavor to succeed!
I'm half way through a "Hollywood" rig at the moment, and as you say, it's a bit addictive once you start.

Howdy UK.

Great job on your first attempt. I agree with you that this is addictive. There is also a lot of personal satisfaction in making one's own gear. Look forward to seeing your next project

UK, you're way up on me, as I've not yet made a holster. It's the reason I started working in leather, but so far I'm still practicing stamping, carving, and working on a couple of simipler things.

That's a very interesting look for a holster. My knowledge of holster styles is quite limited, but I am familiar with the Walker Colt. I think you did a great job. The stitching really looks impressive, something I'm finding very challenging.

Thanks for sharing the pic, JD
