Back in February I ran across a Rodeo Storekeeper for sale.  I bought it to round off my Rodeo set.  It ended up being one of the 1 of 50 USFA special guns Lew Horton was selling.  Then in August I ran into a Rodeo II Storekeeper that caught my eye because it was the matching number.  I just had to have it.  Then a couple of weeks later I found a Cowboy Storekeeper with the same number.  Well, this started me out on my mission.  I was obsessed with the idea of finding all 4 in that number.  Unfortunately I found out from some dealers that the fancier Case Hardened Blue Storekeepers were all sold back at the Shot Show.  Until I saw some through online auctions, so back to the obsession.  Then a few of the Lew Horton Sheriff's models in that number became available, which I was able to obtain after some lay-away plans, but still not the fancier Case Hardened ones.  September brought a break through, I luckily found the Case Hardened Sheriff with that number.  Then I was practically begging the one dealer who was ultimately successful in helping me find many of these guns to find the last one.  It paid off, he found it.  In October I finally had in my possession all 8 models from Lew Horton's USFA Storkeeper's and Sheriff's specials with the same number, and all New in NIB condition, with one bonus.  He was also able to find the USFA special gun from Davidson's with that very nice USFA stamping on the frame with its number ending with the same number.  Lady Luck was very nice to arrange the availability of USFA firearms and the funds at the same time.  After this week though I almost wished I had charged all of them on my credit card so I could pay off my bill with pennies to the dollar like the US Government.  That really is another story.

Thank God my wife is so nice and supports my passion for firearms.  Now if we could just get USFA to make more guns with that really cool US stamping!!
