I aplogize if this has been discussed before, where can I get a QUALITY leather wrap for the lever on my 1873 (Uberti) Winchester?
Thanks much

I was going to buy one, because I'm not that handy, but I had a leather thong sitting around.  I followed the instructions on http://onesticky.levergunscommunity.com/how_to/guidegun_mods.html and it works great.

I have done the samething using leather boot laces.
I don't notice the levering now.
Which means I am not distracted by banging my fingers aginst the metal.

I have also seen thin wide strips of leather used, like 1/4 inch or wider craft suede.

Depends what ya want. Ya can wrap a lace on if ya like, but I like a thick leather wrap that laces on and takes up a good bit of slack.  I've been asked many times where I got mine (made for me by a gunsmith friend) so I eventually had a die made and a local pard with the proper machinery punched out 500 of em for me.  I've sold a pile of em.
