What irks me about the banning of the word Halloween is that most folks don't even know it's origin.  All Halloweds Eve.  Nov first is All Saints day.  It's like Christmas Eve an Christmas.
Now I think on it, they prolly call that "Winter Fest" now er somethin like that.  Jeez.

well, back from the restocking run,    we'll be ready now,

we know we won't have 4 or 5 kids but we know they don't have many places to go up here so we'll fill em up.  some of the kids been coming since they was born, a lot of the ones that used to come are grown and moved away.  haven't had any new ones in years unless they were born around close.

had ta talk Jackie out of dressin up like a  witch and scaring the crap out of the poor little fellas several years.    she likes that jumpin out at ya,  she used to jump out at ole Bear when he was little,  a wonder he's as old as he is. 

the last year we were over at Muskogee, she jumped out the door to scare the trick or treaters, a family of blacks was there, I thought the Father was going to run off and leave em.  he's the only one who run.    but now it scared him .

There is a new warning put out by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency....
Sherwood brand Pirate's Gold Milk Chocolate coins are being recalled due to the fact that they contain Melamine, the ingredient in milk product that has caused many infant deaths in china.
These candies are sold at Costco, as well as many bulk and dollar stores.
Please make sure to check your childrens halloween candy and DO NOT LET THEM EAT THE PIRATE COINS (you know the ones wrapped in the shiny gold
foil) and please let other parent s know about this!

    How'd they corner the market on pirate coins anyhow?  Canadians involved ta boot?  They prolly made them glass top ranges too.
It's all goin in a hand basket I tell ya.

     Seriously though, if them candies are dangerous, I'll let folks know.  Things like that have been known ta happen in the past.  I'd rather err on the side of caution when it comes ta lettin' the little ones eat 'em.  Melamine is also the name of a synthetic countertop material.

49 this morning, sun is shinning here, just a chance of a shower but still pretty nice, highs in the 70's

we had our first Alligator open season just this last year,  by law ya had to have a line attached to the gator afore ya kill it, course a few people had spear guns, but there were pictures on the Arkansas hunting board of a few that got out their ropes and just roped em and shot em.

Forecast is holdin' pretty fer the range tomarrah. 31 there now 'n it'll be jacket cool in the mornin' but up ta 70 later.

Decided not ta use the Buntlines. Pulled 'em out last evenin'. Kindah ferget how heavy the things are. They'd be pullin' my gunbelt down fer sher. Pair of 7 ½'s will do. There's gonna be a call fer a staged pizzol in January. I know. I wrote the shoot. Kin take one then.

Yeah, those long barrels can weigh a few ounces, Arcey. I have another shooting sequence for you to play with. Two targets, 10 shots. Works with either rifle or pistols. 1 on 1, 1 on 2, 3 on 1, 3 on 2, 1 on 1, 1 on 2. We tried it at out last match and it was a good one. No shooters did procedurals with it so it isn't confusing.

Since we n'er know 'bout the weather in January I'm only usin' two rifle, two pistol 'n four shotgun per side. Ain't so much handlin' the steel, stands, props 'n such but we may not be able to get a truck with the stuff in it down range. It's a pain hand luggin' the stuff from the storage conex down range.   

They'll have some strange shot sequences, such as a Lawrence Welk on two targets, rifle 'n pistol. Hope I don't get hung 'fore it's over. Ain't puttin' the gallows prop up.......

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays...Yeah I like to wear whatever I feel like. That does mean there have been a few I've gone out the door dressed like a witch with my broom....this mornin' I'm wearin' my cowgirl duds  - minus guns..don't think the fellas up to the court house would like that much. Luckily with my chaps I don't have to go through the metal detector....I might just for fun though    slicker & hat are perfect for today.

Supposed to be going to a birthday party tomorrow....I have wings and horns and a halio..Hopefully no rain, but we'll see.

And I bought tootise rolls for the kids none of the poision pirate candy
