We had a good time at the Stockyards last night with Buck. He's to be inducted in the Trail of the Stockyards this weekend. We ate at one of the Moose's favorite places in the Stockyards. I had a great CFS and she had grilled trout.

38 degrees now, no wind,  just cold.

another load a birds just went out, looks like they may have another load left, maybe a little over a load. looks like they are still loading good, but daylights here so it may slow em down just a bit, them birds is funny,  they don't like to move out into that sunshine.

starting to warm  a little here, up to 47 with some bright sunshine feelin pretty good.

16,120 birds is what they got last night, got about that many more for tonight, only difference is one house is some hugh birds,  lots of 18 to 20 pounders in there, waist tall,  they may be a little slower loading tonight,  when we walked em this morning they were jumping and running everywhere, made Jackie walk behind me,  them wings and feet can hurt ya if you don't watch out, when they get that big.

Hunghhhh!!!  Ugh is right.  Got any of the last pot left?  I never did function very well until I got at least one cuppa into my system, whether it was morning or night.  It's a good thing we were never kept awake by drinking coffee before bedtime, or my Bride would have never gotten any sleep.  When I got up at between 2100 and 2200, there would be a fresh pot, and she'd be dozing in the chair with a steaming cup sitting next to her.  Me, I needed it to get my motor started.

'Nuther nice lookin' day, here.  Was about 50 when I got up at 0600, up to 57, now, 0830; looks like a repeat of yesterday.

We have a houseguest this morning; Miss Bella has the day off from school - parent teacher conference day, and her mom brought her over last night for a stayover.  Gramma is going to do Miss B's conference, 'cause her mommy and daddy can't take time off from work; Miss B and I will just hang out, I guess.

Thanks for the "joe", I'll go "kill some rats", now.

Later.

That was fun. Needed ta scope out sumthin' in Princess Anne 'n found the place almost dead 'cross the road from the farmers' market. Stopped in.

Been warm 'n they're still harvestin'. Got me some real pretty Pungo grown produce. Same place, some salted in the shell peanuts I shouldn't ah bought. Sampled a few, they didn't spare the salt. More people there than I thought there'd be. One of the Fire Station's guys was there stockin' up at a different stand than I went to.

Enjoyed the trip. Weren't much traffic. I reckon the morons were home watchin' tv.

Them salted penuts are good, like them redskins the best,  was out in South Carolina once, driving along, about every 3rd store had a sign said boiled peanuts,  stopped and got a bag,  my taste buds just weren't quite ready for them,  I guess it's an aquired taste.

Leo,  that boy'll a be ready to go hammer a nail with ya afore long, ya keep watchin the DIY channel.

I have to agree with you on this. Never had the opportunity to try boiled ones. I can't imagine what that would be like.

the ones I got was hot out of the boiling pot, they were just kinda (if ya can imigine)  kinda chuncky, chewy but spongey,  just a lot different than anything I had tried.  closest I ever had was boiled soybeans
