Evenin' folks.  Thanks fer the wishes.  I'll be celebratin' this weekend with my family (mother: 9/30, brother 10/10... and the odd ball, sister: 4/24).

With all these birthdays at this time of year, it seems to me that some parents were working on "keepin' warm" in December and January. ;D

I would like to go campin' next weekend, let's see what the weather does.  Definitely planning to go camping with the rev war folks veterans day weekend.  There will be an encampment of military through the ages, rev war through today.  I heard that in past years it has been very nice.  I'll be sure to bring back pictures.

That's what I did on mine. AVG immediately found two trojan horses that Norton couldn't. No telling how long they were on there, but my computer sure sped up after that. Good move, Stoney.

Oh, yeah. Be sure to delete all Norton files afterward because I kept finding viruses and such in there until I finally got rid of them. I guess some of these things are written specifically to attach to Norton files so they can't be found.
How?  I uninstalled it using the complete uninstall program.  Is there more I needed to do?  I have not gotten any viruses during scans with AVG yet.

Go inta yer progam files folder Stoney.  Make sure there aint nothin with the word Norton left.  It's almost as bad as AOL or a vampire.  Once it's invited inta the house, it's tough ta shake.

Havin catfish tanight :D  Rice with peppers on the side.  I'm drooling as I type this.

Oh weill.   I guess I'll go and fix my mom's computer. ::)  Actually it's not a fix.  Here Norton is expired today and I'm installing AVG for her.  ;D
Way ta go, Stoney.  ;D

That sounds like fun.

Been packing fer chasing those Chinese Chickens in SD. Gonna leave after verk tomorrow. Drive to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St Paul) to my brother's house. Get there about 11 pm. Dropping the family off.  Jump in his truck and drive another 5+ hours. Good thing chasing doesn't start 'til noon each day.  ::) We'll be back Tuesday afternoon. Then I'll work three 10-hour days next week.

I ordered my version online. I still had the install file in my downloads. I don't recall if there were any folders left over after the uninstall but be sure to check. In addition, my backups and temp files had Norton stuff in them. All that kept the things regenerating. Drove me nuts for a few days.

Thanks for the CAWFEE.

I did a search on Norton (9 entries found) and Symantec (3 entries found) on the home PC.  They're gone now.  Now I gotta go back to Mom's and do the same for her.
